| In Comparative Diagram 1, we see first the spine of a signed Delorme binding (see page 18), the imprints found in this spine panel are the same imprints that are found in the corner decorations of the 1787 Almanach Royal similarly the centerpiece fleuron of the 1787 Almanach is the same as found on the 1788 Almanach (see Comparative Diagram 2) |
| In Comparative Diagram 4, we see a very important corner decoration, it is as though the artist is sending us a reminder of the many famous bindings that he made in the previous decades. The trident that Michon obsessed over as a sure sign of Derome's work is here again and another proof that it was not Derome but rather Dubuisson and Delorme who used this tool extensively. |
